Sharon, Billing Coordinator
Sharon became our newest staff member in June 2011 as our second Patient Care Coordinator. Previous to working in our office, Sharon worked for seven years as the Medical Receptionist at Masonicare Behavioral Health. Of her new job at CCFC, Sharon’s biggest difficulty is “going from top to bottom” of the body. Her favorite part of being a receptionist is talking with the patients.
Born on Long Island, Sharon’s family moved to Connecticut when she was 10. She is a Platt High School graduate and upon graduation worked for the Medicare office on Preston Avenue for 25+ years in the clearinghouse department with durable medical equipment. She took complaints about doctor’s offices, suppliers, fraud, etc.
Sharon lives in Meriden with her mother Betty (86 and still growing strong!) and has two sons, Jimmy and Craig. One granddaughter, Zoey, completes the family. When she is not working here, Sharon likes to read, watch movies, play with her granddaughter, and spend time with her friends. Each winter she tries to spend several weeks with friends down in Antigua, where she loves to lay on the beach and drive the golf carts!
